On January 18th, the 2025 Chongqing Chinese New Year Festival and Kaizhou Golden Chef Food Tasting Activity, themed “Taste of Bayu, Reunion in Beijing”, was grandly opened at Chongqing Hotel in Beijing. The event brought Chongqing's special New Year's goods, food and New Year's culture to Beijing through the exhibition and sale of Chongqing's specialties, culinary experience and display of non-heritage culture in various forms, presenting a unique cultural feast of Bayu Spring Festival for Beijing consumers.


At the opening ceremony, leaders from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Trade Promotion Center, Chongqing Agriculture and Rural Committee, Chongqing Office in Beijing, Kaizhou District People's Government and other relevant departments attended and participated in the exchange. Kaizhou District Standing Committee, deputy mayor Xiao Yubin proposed in his speech, the event aims to comprehensively demonstrate the Chongqing characteristics of the New Year's goods and food culture, as well as the dissemination of the Bayu New Year's culture, so that the Beijing public can also feel the Chongqing economic and social development of high-quality and the countryside comprehensive revitalization of the joy of the atmosphere. It is hoped that through this activity to build agricultural production, distribution, consumption of three communication bridge, to promote the circulation of Chongqing high-quality agricultural products and trade, and promote Chongqing agricultural products to a broader market.

In the Chongqing New Year's Fair exhibition area, hundreds of authentic Chongqing specialties such as Kaizhou sausages, Nanmen brown sugar, Fengjie spring oranges, and dried beans in purple water were on display, providing a one-stop opportunity to buy authentic Chongqing New Year's goods. At the same time, the Chongqing Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Area also attracted a lot of attention from the public, with traditional skills such as handmade feather shuttlecock and bamboo weaving competing on the same stage, demonstrating the rich cultural heritage of Bayu.


During the event, the food experience area became a lively focus. Kaiju Golden Chef brought Kaiju sausage, Kaiju Mixed Steam, Kaiju Head Bowl, Kaiju Cheerful Head and other Chongqing delicacies to be made on the spot, so that the public could not only taste the authentic Chongqing flavor, but also feel the unique charm of the authentic Chongqing Spring Festival, and spread the Chongqing New Year's Eve culture more widely.
