During the China-Central Asia Summit, the Kazakhstan-China Investment Roundtable was held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province as a supporting event. Yu Xubo, chairman and party secretary of General Technology Group, said in his speech that General Technology Group has established trade cooperation with Kazakhstan ALLUR Group since 2014, and over the years, it has continued to dovetail with Kazakhstan's needs, promote localized operation, and continuously carry out cooperation in the fields of automotive production capacity cooperation, infrastructure construction, cross-border e-commerce, etc.
Yu Xubo introduced that since the "Belt and Road" initiative was proposed ten years ago, relying on the advantages of overseas business services accumulated through the introduction of major technology and equipment, GTG has actively participated in the "Belt and Road" construction and international production capacity cooperation. In addition, it has also implemented industrial chain cooperation projects in more than 20 countries and regions around the world, and Central Asia is one of the markets it has cultivated.
"In 2019, China National Machinery Import & Export Group Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of the Group, and JAC Motor jointly took a stake in ALLUR Group, one of the 100 'champion enterprises' supported by Kazakhstan's national industry revitalization program. Since its operation, the new ALLUR Group has been steadily improving its business performance, maintaining overall stability in its supply chain, continuously increasing its production and sales volume, and producing 70,000 units of vehicles in 2022, with the production line reaching full capacity." In Yu Xubo's view, the project has advanced the interoperability and mutual benefits of the two countries' automotive industries with practical results, driven local employment and economic development, and provided a model for China-Kazakhstan to carry out capacity cooperation.
On the day of the meeting, the only national pavilion of Kazakhstan in Chinese e-commerce channels "Jingdong Kazakhstan National Pavilion" was officially launched, and the right to operate the national pavilion was granted to the emerging company belonging to General Technology Group. At present, more than 50 kinds of special goods have been put on line, including original imported candy, camel milk powder, safflower seed oil and so on. Yu Xubo said that the opening of the Jingdong Kazakhstan Country Pavilion will become a new highlight of economic cooperation between the two countries and benefit tens of thousands of Chinese consumers.
In addition, at the inaugural meeting of China-Central Asia Industrialists Committee, another supporting activity of China-Central Asia Summit, Kang Hubiao, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of General Technology International Corporation, said in the topic seminar speech that for Central Asia, in addition to investing in ALLUR Group, the largest automobile manufacturer and seller in Kazakhstan, General In addition to its investment in Kazakhstan's largest automobile manufacturer and distributor ALLUR Group, GTI has also achieved a contracted amount of over US$1 billion in the fields of railroad electrification, rail equipment export and agriculture in the Uzbekistan market, and has a number of green projects benefiting people's livelihoods under continuous follow-up.
"General Technology International, which has been deeply involved in Central Asia for many years, is undergoing green transformation, increasing the market layout of clean energy power generation and energy storage business, focusing on promoting the construction of a new supply chain system, and seeking broader and deeper cooperation with Central Asian countries in areas such as new energy vehicles and photovoltaic components." Kang Hubiao stated.
In order to further deepen the pragmatic cooperation between the two sides and serve the industrialization and urbanization process of Kazakhstan, combined with the transformation achievements of General Technology Group to the real economy, Yu Xubo put forward the following three suggestions:
First, focus on in-depth cooperation in the field of equipment manufacturing to serve the industrialization process of Kazakhstan. At present, General Technology Group is transforming from mainly trade services to the real economy, and upgrading from the introduction of technology to independent innovation, and is willing to provide industrial mother machines, high-end equipment and other equipment and technical services for the industrialization construction of Kazakhstan.
Secondly, it focuses on in-depth cooperation in the field of medicine and medical health to serve the good life of Kazakhstan people. As a comprehensive service provider of medical device intelligent supply chain, General Technology Group has pharmaceutical international trade business in more than 100 countries around the world and pharmaceutical business network in China, covering pharmaceutical production, medical supply chain, health care, rehabilitation treatment and other life-cycle health services, and is willing to explore cooperation with the Kazakh side in medical devices, medical health and pension.
Third, focus on in-depth cooperation in the field of trade and engineering services to serve the expansion and upgrading of Kazakhstan's industry. Under the background of "One Belt, One Road" and Kazakhstan's new economic policy "Bright Road", Kazakhstan, as the heart of the ancient Silk Road and an important link to the Eurasian continent, will have a historic opportunity in the development of railroad infrastructure. The opportunity to develop railway infrastructure in Kazakhstan will be historic. We are willing to continue the successful experience of automotive capacity cooperation between the two sides, expand the scope of cooperation, optimize the business model, and jointly promote more capacity cooperation projects with the Kazakh side.
