On March 15, the 2nd China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo Promotion and Exchange Meeting for Chinese and Foreign Enterprises was held in Beijing. At the event, 46 famous Chinese and foreign enterprises and organizations, including Cargill Investments (China) Limited, Bosch (China) Investment Limited, and the U.S. Soybean Export Association, signed contracts to participate in the event.

Mr. Ren Hongbin, President of CCPIT, pointed out in his speech that Chain Expo is the world's first national exhibition with the theme of supply chain. China organizes Chain Expo to respond to the call of the times and to create an international platform for all parties to strengthen communication, deepen cooperation and seek common development. The second Chain Expo will be held from November 26th to 30th this year, and all preparations have been fully launched. At present, more than 160 Chinese and foreign enterprises have confirmed to participate in the event.

The reporter learned from the activity site that the second Chain Expo will add an “Advanced Manufacturing Chain” exhibition area and hold a special exchange meeting on advanced manufacturing industry on the basis of maintaining the original chain and exhibition area of the first Chain Expo.

Mr. Ren Hongbin said that since last year, President Xi Jinping has repeatedly put forward the need to promote industrial innovation with scientific and technological innovation and develop new productivity. After many researches and demonstrations, CCPIT has decided to set up “Advanced Manufacturing Chain” on the basis of the first chain expo, which includes intelligent automobile chain, green agriculture chain, clean energy chain, digital technology chain, healthy life chain and supply chain service exhibition area. The Advanced Manufacturing Chain will focus on new productivity, from front-end R&D and design, utilization of new materials, processing of key parts and components to intelligent manufacturing, etc., showing the global advanced manufacturing industry chain in an all-round and multi-angle way.

On the scene, representatives of many Chinese and foreign enterprises also shared their successful experience of participating in the first Chain Expo. They said that Chain Expo is a high-standard, high-quality and high-level global economic and trade event, and that they will actively participate in the second Chain Expo with greater investment, better image and richer products and technologies, so that the supply chain can become a “win-win chain” for international cooperation.

On the same day, more than 300 people attended the event, including foreign embassies in China, international organizations and foreign business associations in China, Chinese and foreign enterprises, media, and representatives of the National System for the Promotion of International Trade.
