  By then, Hong Kong trucks can travel from Hong Kong to the Macao Port Transfer Station via the HZMB to deliver and receive goods, and at the same time deliver goods from Macao back to Hong Kong; Macao trucks coming to Hong Kong via the HZMB can go to the logistics facilities at the Hong Kong International Airport to deliver and receive goods, and at the same time deliver goods from Hong Kong to Macao back to Macao. This arrangement will also expand the customer network of the logistics facilities at the Hong Kong International Airport.

  The Chief Executive of the HKSAR, Mr. K.C. Lee, said that the relevant arrangement is an important policy that helps to promote exchanges, activate the economy and enhance integration between Hong Kong and Macao and even the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and is also a brand new and important measure to strengthen the logistics facilities of Hong Kong and Macao, which will provide greater convenience and benefits for cross-border cargo transportation between Hong Kong and Macao, which is currently mainly reliant on maritime transportation, and the governments of Hong Kong and Macao have signed an agreement on this matter.


  The Secretary for Transport and Logistics of the HKSAR Government, Mr. Lam Sai-hung, introduced that Hong Kong trucks going to the Macao Port Transfer Station for loading and unloading via the HZMB will be exempted from Macao Business Tax Registration and Macao Vehicle Tax, and the drivers do not need to apply for Macao Driving License. The daily limit of Hong Kong trucks traveling to Macao is initially set at about 400 trips.
